About the Cause

When Hurricane Melissa made landfall in southwestern Jamaica as a ferocious Category 5 storm, it struck with unprecedented force—the strongest the island has seen in modern record-keeping. Whole towns were left without roofs or power, flooding turned streets into rivers, and vital infrastructure in communities such as St. Elizabeth and Westmoreland was devastated. The recovery will be long and difficult.

Through United for Relief, we’re bringing the community together to raise funds and spirits—ensuring that Jamaica’s recovery isn’t just about rebuilding what was lost, but building stronger, more resilient futures.
